Responsible Gambling: Entertainment, Not Income

Aviator is a crash game with a 97% RTP and a house edge that guarantees the casino wins over time. It’s designed for entertainment, not as a way to make money. Every round is independent, and no strategy, pattern or prediction tool can change the maths.

If you play Aviator for real money, set limits before you start, stick to them, and recognise when the game stops being fun.

Warning Signs

Gambling may be causing harm if you:

  • Spend more time or money than you planned
  • Chase losses or bet to win back what you’ve lost
  • Borrow money to gamble or struggle to pay bills
  • Feel anxious, irritable or distracted when you’re not playing
  • Hide your gambling from family or friends
  • Neglect work, study or relationships because of gambling
  • Think about gambling constantly or feel unable to stop

If any of these apply, it’s time to take a break and talk to someone who can help.

Tools to Stay in Control

Many casinos offer responsible-gambling tools such as these; check which ones your casino actually provides:

  • Deposit limits: Set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on how much you can add to your account.
  • Loss limits: Stop play automatically when you’ve lost a set amount.
  • Session time limits: Set a reminder or automatic logout after a fixed period.
  • Reality checks: Pop-up alerts that show how long you’ve been playing and how much you’ve won or lost.
  • Self-exclusion: Close your account for a set period or permanently.

If you self-exclude, respect it. Do not open a new account at the same casino or try to work around the block. Self-exclusion exists to protect you, and bypassing it puts you at greater risk.

BetStop, Australia’s National Self-Exclusion Register (betstop.gov.au), blocks access to all Australian-licensed online wagering services in one step. It became available in August 2023 and is free and confidential. However, BetStop does not cover offshore casinos where Aviator is played, because those operators are not licensed in Australia. You’ll need to self-exclude at each offshore site separately.

Online casino games—including crash games such as Aviator—may not be legally offered to people in Australia under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (IGA). Only licensed sports and racing wagering is permitted online, through state or territory licensed bookmakers, and Aviator is not part of their product.

Every site where you can play Aviator for real money is offshore and outside Australian consumer protection. The provider prohibition does not establish individual eligibility or a legal recommendation.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) enforces the IGA. Since November 2019, ACMA has asked internet providers to block 1,564 illegal gambling and affiliate websites (as of March 2026), and more than 220 operators have withdrawn from the Australian market (ACMA, July 2024). A blocked domain means the operator was found in breach of the IGA. ACMA cannot recover money that an offshore casino refuses to pay out.
